Meet ups!
What’s better than writing? Meeting other writers to write with.
In SLC:
SLCC Community Writing Center is located in the downtown library. They have some amazing offerings including coaching, affordable workshops, and writing groups.
The League of Utah Writers organizes conferences, writing groups, and competitions. If there isn’t a chapter in your area - you can organize one!
The University of Utah Continuing Education Dept has some great classes to get your creative juices flowing and meet other budding or experienced writers. If you happen to be an employee or your partner or parent is - it’s half off tuition!

Health Professionals!
Narrative Medicine is an approach that focuses on stories (patients and the people who care for them) as a healing modality.
Clichéd it may be but - burnout is at epidemic levels among health professionals. Consider adding writing to your burnout prevention toolkit.
Storytelling helps deepen connections with patients, provide better care and improve outcomes. It can also help you gain clarity on your experiences or just unwind and practice self-care.
This group is for anyone working in healthcare in any role who wants to get together once a month (if you can manage) and work on a project or just do some fun small writing exercises together.

Women who write!
Trigger warning - insecure men may be upset by the idea of a women only writing group. Too bad.
If you are wanting to connect with other women writers to bounce your ideas off, or to hear what other women writers are up to - this is the place. We will get together quarterly and do some writing, sharing, and maybe even a little yoga.
All women and those who identify as women are welcome.
Please fill in the form to express interest.
